Lord, take me by the hand
Gently guide me through this strange land
I quicken to take this or that road
I trust in You, You lighten the load
Daunting, seems that precipice
I always question myself, have I gone amiss?
Upon this mountain of sorrow and regret
How easily I misstep, how easily I forget
This sojourn that has turned a climb
I ponder on yonder, where is the time?
There are things worse than reaching this precarious summit
Lord, I pray You catch me if I do indeed plummet
With shaking legs and a weary brow
To Your magnificence, I kneel and bow
Earthly accolades have never been in my story
To you I look onward, towards Your eternal glory
Forget me not, should I indeed fail
In Your Holy kingdom, save me from this earthly jail
With You, my God, my Lord, my King
I dream one day to be with, in peace, for You I shall sing
